Continuing Education Workshop – 3 Schwinn Credits
Duration : half day / 4 hours
Content : This four-hour workshop is all about strength training for cyclists and its benefits. We give you answers and tips as to why and which strength training is important for cyclists. In addition to theoretical background knowledge of training principles, training methods and forms of organization, you can look forward to practical circuit training tailored specifically to the target group.
“Strength and cycling” promotes a more elaborate approach towards the indoor cycling training.
It promotes a type of training which is beyond the pedaling itself, outside the cycling studio into the fitness gym, to the functional training zone. This type of training is designed to fill in the indoor cycling classes closing the circle for a complete physical training. Anything that indoor cycling, mainly a cardio training, can not cover will be covered by Strength And Cycling Training: conditioning for the postural muscles mainly, training the muscle groups which are not actively involved in the cycling class, injury prevention, flexibility, muscular endurance, etc. The schedule will include theoretical and practical sessions on Cycling and Strength Training.
*schedule will be adapted accordingly by your educator
